How to make your 9 albums poster
my9albums is a free poster maker for the nine albums that made you. Search more than two million albums, put your nine in order on a 3 × 3 board, and download a poster for your feed or story. No account, nothing to install.
It answers the “9 albums that made me” question that goes around music social media: not the best albums ever made, but the ones that explain your taste. Made by nays, powered by paisanos.io and launched on September 28, 2026.
Three steps
Find your albums
Tap an empty slot and search by album or artist, or add one from Most picked in one tap.
Put them in order
Drag a cover to another slot, or use the arrows under it. Your first pick is the one people read first.
Make the poster
Add your name or @handle if you like, choose one of nine backgrounds, then download the poster or share it from your phone. Each poster gets its own link too.
Questions
Is my9albums free? Do I need an account?
It’s free and there’s no account. Your nine are saved in your browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off.
How many albums can I choose from?
More than two million, from the MusicBrainz catalog. Search by album, artist or both. Covers come from the Cover Art Archive; an album without one gets a solid colour with its title.
What if I can’t find an album?
In Find an album, choose “Didn’t find your album? Add it here”. Type the album and the artist, and add a cover image if you have one: it goes on your poster, and we ask for it to be added to the catalog. The cover stays in your browser, so a poster with an album you add can be downloaded and shared but doesn’t get a link.
What size is the poster?
There are two: a 1800 × 2100 poster for your feed and a 1080 × 1920 version for stories. Both are PNG images.
Can I put my name on it?
Yes. The name or @handle you type becomes “The sound that made …” on the poster. It’s drawn in your browser and never sent to us.
Why nine albums?
Nine fills a 3 × 3 grid: enough to show more than one side of your taste, and few enough that every album has to earn its place.
What does a poster’s link show?
Your nine albums in order, the background and whether titles are shown. Not your name. Poster links are kept out of search engines.
Which albums are picked the most?
The albums that appear in the most posters made on my9albums. Each distinct set of nine counts once, however many times it was made. See the 100 most picked albums
Is my9albums.org or my9albums.net the same site?
No. my9albums.com is the original and only official my9albums, made by nays. my9albums.org, my9albums.net and other look-alikes are run by other people and aren’t connected to it. We can’t vouch for what they do with your data and aren’t responsible for it. More about the official site
Is there one for films?
Yes. my9films, by the same maker, does the same for the nine films that made you. Open my9films
